Hi everyone,
As most of you know the teachers met tonight to begin working through the new legislation and requirements to ensure we are ready to reopen as soon as possible.

In the coming week we will send out an email detailing our plans and how we intend to move forward, however I thought I’d give you a quick update.

All going well regarding statistics and numbers of new cases we will be able to reopen once we enter stage 3. However given this is the final week of term 2 we have decided to wait the additional 3 weeks and return to dance the same week as school returns on Monday the 13th of July.

Upon return, like everything, things will look slightly differed as we adhere to hygiene, cleaning and social distancing protocol.
Some of the changes we will be implementing are as follows…..

1 entry – 1 exit

Limited number of people in the hall.
Due to current regulations and social distancing we will have to limit the number of people in the hall. This will mean student will need to be dropped off and picked up. Parents and siblings will no longer be able to enter the hall.

Class time may need to be changed and potentially reduced to ensure we are not exceeding the number of people we are able to have in the hall, and to accomodate out new cleaning and hygiene routines.

Hand sanitizers will be provided for student to clean their hands upon arrival, and students will clean their hands periodically throughout the class.

All surfaces will be disinfected before/after each class.

Students will be encouraged to use the toilet prior to attending class to ensure minimal interruption to classes.

Students will be required to bring their own drink bottle as they will no longer be able to use the kitchen facilities for breaks.

Students will also require their own shoes as they will be unable to use the spare shoes at the hall.

In the coming weeks all teachers will be completing the covid-19 infection control training.

We are currently putting together our intended safety plan, which is to be submitted and approved prior to us reopening. However as the guidelines are consistently changing, and will no doubt change again prior to our reopening, we will not provide this plan to parents until it has been finalised. For this reason we need to advise all parents and students that the above information is subject to change, however we will notify all families of any changes as we receive them. All families will be provided with a copy of our finalised safety plant prior to class starting back.
